8 Days Tanzania Safari – Calving Season

Since Tanzania has been well popular for the wildebeests migrations, most of the safaris here are intended to fulfill just that. By December - January, the wildebeests, zebras, gazelles and elands are already on their trek back to the southern Serengeti (Ndutu area) to prepare for calving around Feb and March. For great wildlife enthusiasts, this is the best time for great wildlife views as millions of angulates congregate for the short fresh grass here, attracting enormous predators to the same area as well.
This tour is likely to reward you with great wildlife viewing opportunities including a great spectacle of witnessing a birth or a kill. It is estimated that half a million angulates give birth in this area in the period between Feb and March before they prepare to carry out their great migration.
