Tour Itinerary

4th Sept, 19:40hrs: Arrival and transfer to Kigali. Overnight at Five to Five hotel. (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 1. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
You will be picked from the hotel or airport and go for a city
tour to see the genocide memorial and local markets and later drive
northwards to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at
Five Volcanoes hotel. (Full board)

Day 2. Mountain Gorilla Tracking and afternoon nature/cultural walk.
Assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning
together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest
to track the gorillas. In the evening, you may go for community walk or
nature walk. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcanoes hotel. (Full board).

Day 3. Golden monkey tracking and Transfer back to Kigali.
In the morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking. On return,
you will transfer back to Kigali.

Day 4. Fly to JRO and transfer to Arusha. Arrival at JRO at 12:50pm. Overnight at African Tulip hotel. (Bed and breakfast)

Day 5. Transfer from Arusha to Central Serengeti for game drives (5-6 hours
drive). Stay Kati Kati Tented camp (Full Board)

Day 6. Transfer from Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti for game
drives. Stay Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp (Full Board)

Day 7. Full day game drives in Northern Serengeti. Stay Mara Kati Kati
Tented Camp (Full Board)

Day 8. Full day game drives in Northern Serengeti. Stay Mara Kati Kati
Tented Camp (Full Board)

Day 9. Transfer from Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater rim (8 hours
drive). Stay Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

Day 10. Early morning game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater. Transfer back to Arusha.

Day 11. Fly from JRO to Kigali, arriving in Kigali at 20:40hrs
Overnight at Five to Five hotel. (Bed and breakfast)

Day 12. Full day at the hotel and late check out to transfer to the airport for 20:45hrs flight back home.

End of Tour

Obtaining gorilla permits

travelers must have gorilla permits without which no one is allowed to see these gentle giants. Due to high demand for the permits, travelers are required to book as early as six months prior to the trekking date. Booking can be done directly with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) in Rwanda or Uganda wildlife authority (UWA)in Uganda.
