Day 1 : Arrival at the Airport in Kigali

• you shall be met by the driver/tour guide and transfered to your Hotel/ Lodge of residence.

Day 2 : Transfer to Ruhengeri

• After breakfast drive to Ruhengeri - the land of thousand hills
• Have a tour around the lively and friendly Ruhengeri town centre, visit the clay fields and local brick makers
• Traditional cultural dance entertainment at the Hotel in the evening

Day 3 : Nature, People and Culture

• After breakfast head for a beautiful sighteseeing of the twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo
• Agro tour; education about traditional sustainable farming methods with African vegetables and fruits.
• Community experience with the local fishing community, experience the playful fishing competitions of children from adjacent villages.
• Take a launch cruise in a traditional canoe, visit the local witch doctors and the fierce snake man.

Day 4 : Community experience in Kivu

• Head to the shores of Lake Kivu, visit the tea plantations
• Shopping at a farmers market
• Tour of Kivu with tragic publicity in the past decade because of enormous refugee camps, hunger, epidemics, volcanic eruptions

Day 5 : Culture tour - Ancient King's Palace in Nyanza

• Drive to Nyanza, the historical seat of the ancient Rwandan kings and visit the Palace, then drive to Butare, Rwanda's cultural centre and visit the National Museum.
• Drive to Kigali and tour the city. In the early evening, you will get to see performances done by the members of a Batwa Pottery Project with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans, their art of pottery as well as singing, drumming and cultural dances.

Day 6 : Transfer to Kigali and Depart

• Transfer to Kigali after breakfast.
• Have a tour of Kigali city; visit the market, local pottery project, handicraft shops, the museum and genocide memorial site.
• Have lunch enroute and head to Kigali Airport for your departure flight.
